Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect the information you send us, in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
Effective 4 August 2026
VT TOP ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. (UEN 202519158W) (“VT Top Engineering”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the personal data you provide to us. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have in relation to it.
It is written in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (the “PDPA”). It applies to this website and to enquiries submitted through it. It does not apply to any third-party website you may reach from here.
1. What we collect
We collect only what is needed to respond to a technical enquiry. Everything below comes from the enquiry form on our contact page, except the technical data, which is recorded automatically.
- Identity and contact details
- Your name, your company, your business email address and, if you choose to give it, your telephone number.
- Enquiry details
- The product type you are asking about, the project location, any required delivery date, and the description of your service conditions that you write in the message field.
- Documents you upload
- Drawings, data sheets, spreadsheets, documents and photographs that you attach to an enquiry. These may contain technical information about your plant or project.
- Technical data
- The IP address the enquiry was sent from and the date and time it was received. This is recorded for every submission to prevent abuse of the form.
We do not collect payment details, identification numbers, or any special categories of personal data through this website. Please do not send them through the enquiry form.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal data when you submit it directly — by completing the enquiry form, emailing us at support@vttopengineering.com, or contacting us by telephone or WhatsApp on +65 8221 5632.
We do not buy contact lists, and we do not collect personal data about you from third parties.
3. Why we use it
We use the personal data you provide for the following purposes, and no others:
- Responding to your enquiry
- Reviewing your application, clarifying the duty, and identifying any further information we need in order to advise you properly.
- Preparing a proposal
- Producing a technical and commercial proposal, including coordinating drawings, materials, certification and delivery with our technical and manufacturing sources.
- Delivering the work
- Where an enquiry becomes an order: supply, documentation, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Follow-up and support
- After-sales support and technical clarification relating to the work carried out.
- Protecting the website
- Using the recorded IP address and timestamp to rate-limit the enquiry form and prevent automated abuse.
- Meeting legal obligations
- Retaining records where we are required to do so by Singapore law.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not send newsletters or promotional messages, unless you have separately asked us to.
4. Consent, and how to withdraw it
When you submit the enquiry form you are asked to confirm that we may collect and use the information for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. The form cannot be submitted without that confirmation, and we record it with your submission.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us at support@vttopengineering.com. We will act on the request within a reasonable time and confirm when it has been done.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
To prepare a proposal or fulfil an order we may need to share your enquiry details, and the drawings or specifications you send, with:
- Technical and manufacturing partners
- To engineer and produce the expansion joint your application requires. This normally means the technical details and drawings, not your personal contact details, unless direct coordination is necessary.
- Inspection and testing bodies
- Where the project specifies third-party inspection, witness testing or certification.
- Logistics providers
- To arrange delivery, where a delivery address and contact are required.
- Professional advisers
- Our auditors, insurers or legal advisers, where necessary and under a duty of confidentiality.
- Regulators and authorities
- Where we are required to disclose by Singapore law, or by an order of a court or authority.
We share only what is necessary for the specific purpose, and we require those we share it with to protect it and to use it only for that purpose.
6. Transfers outside Singapore
Expansion joints are engineered and manufactured through specialist sources, some of which are located outside Singapore. Where preparing your proposal or fulfilling your order requires it, your enquiry details and technical documents may be transferred to a partner in another jurisdiction.
Where we transfer personal data outside Singapore, we take steps to satisfy ourselves that the recipient is bound by legally enforceable obligations to provide a standard of protection at least comparable to that under the PDPA, as required by section 26 of the Act and the Personal Data Protection Regulations.
If you would prefer that your drawings or specifications are not sent outside Singapore, tell us when you submit your enquiry and we will advise whether we can proceed on that basis.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not proceed
- Kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Technical enquiries are often revisited during a later shutdown or budget cycle, and keeping the history means you do not have to send the same information twice.
- Enquiries that become orders
- Kept for 7 years from completion of the work, in line with the record-keeping periods that apply to Singapore companies, and because expansion joints have a long service life and replacement enquiries commonly refer back to the original supply.
- Uploaded documents
- Kept for the same period as the enquiry or order they belong to, then deleted from our systems.
- Website technical data
- IP addresses and timestamps recorded for abuse prevention are kept no longer than is needed for that purpose.
We cease to retain personal data, or remove the means by which it can be associated with you, once it is no longer needed for any business or legal purpose.
8. How we protect it
We make reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data in our possession against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. These include:
- The whole website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection
- Documents you upload are stored outside the publicly accessible part of the server and renamed on receipt
- Uploads are restricted by file type, size and number, and are checked on the server rather than trusted from your browser
- The enquiry form is protected against automated submission and abuse
- Access to enquiries and uploaded documents is limited to the personnel who need it
- The website loads no third-party scripts, fonts, advertising or analytics. The only content served from outside our own domain is the location map on the contact page, and only if you choose to open it
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you have documents that are commercially sensitive, tell us and we will agree a suitable way to exchange them.
9. Cookies
This website sets one cookie: a session cookie used solely to hold the security token that protects the enquiry form from cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal data, is not used for tracking, and expires when you close your browser.
There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind on this website. Every font, stylesheet, script and image is served from our own domain, so reading these pages does not disclose your visit to any third party.
There is one exception, and it is entirely under your control. The location map on our contact page is supplied by Google. It is not loaded when the page opens. It is requested only if you press “View map”, and we tell you so on the button itself. If you do press it, your IP address and basic device information are sent to Google and Google may set its own cookies; that is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not by this one. If you do not press it, nothing whatsoever is requested from Google. The “Get directions” link works the same way — it contacts Google only once you follow it.
10. Your rights
- Access
- You may ask what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible. A reasonable fee may apply where the request is extensive.
- Correction
- You may ask us to correct an error or omission. We will make the correction unless we have reasonable grounds not to, and will notify others we have shared the data with where appropriate.
- Withdrawal
- You may withdraw consent for us to continue using your personal data, as described in section 4.
To make any of these requests, contact our Data Protection Officer using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Data Protection Officer
We have designated a Data Protection Officer responsible for ensuring our compliance with the PDPA. Any question, request or complaint about personal data should be addressed to them:

| Company | VT TOP ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. |
| Address | 8 Burn Road, #07-07, Trivex, Singapore 369977 |
| support@vttopengineering.com | |

12. Complaints
If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal data, please raise it with our Data Protection Officer first. We will investigate and respond.
If you remain dissatisfied, you may refer the matter to the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore at pdpc.gov.sg.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects how we use personal data already collected, we will seek fresh consent if the PDPA requires it.
